Rapid Micro Biosystems is currently seeking a Director of Human Resources to provide leadership, vision, development, and overall management of all Human Resource activities and staff, in addition to reinforcing the Company’s culture, values, and mission through the delivery of HR programs and services. The Director, Human Resources, with an international scope, will be responsible for managing and supporting the assessment of organizational needs and the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs that facilitate the professional development and continuous learning of all employees.
Supports the mission, vision, values, goals and key metrics by developing and implementing short and long-range HR plans, strategies, and policies
Leads the design, development, and implementation of global programs, policies, and strategies tailored to meet Company needs and program goals
Works closely with each department head and serve as a trusted advisory on all human resource matters
Oversees the salary administration process; creates and evaluates positions, salary levels, employee evaluation processes, and salary surveys ensuring management adherence to the salary administration plan; develops and administers staff compensation and incentive programs and provides consultation and recommendations regarding compensation changes
Act as a change agent and drive the organization’s culture by shaping behaviors that make a positive impact on operational and financial outcomes
Ultimately responsible for talent acquisition world-wide, requiring a working knowledge of global employment laws, policies and procedures; creates innovative recruitment and retention strategies to ensure long-term employee engagement
Manages the talent review process, succession planning, talent development and performance management process
Manages the HR department budget and continually looks to develop and implement cost-saving measures which contribute to the Company’s profitability
Works collaboratively with Finance by providing accurate time and expense information on a weekly basis to ensure accurately executed payroll function
Proactively seeks knowledge expertise in the HR field, as well as general business trends and practices.
Exemplify the core values of Rapid Micro Biosystems, acting as both a cultural leader internally and ambassador externally
Provides oversight of HR vendor relationships with execution by the HR team
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years’ HR experience; proven HR management experience is required
Direct proven experience and success in all functional areas of Human Resources
Expertise in Microsoft Office and HRIS
SPHR certification is a plus
Strong attention to detail
Flexibility and multi-tasking, ability to undertake several tasks simultaneously and manage them effectively
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, confident and effective in explaining concepts and situations to employees at all levels
