Overview
We are seeking a Sr. Principal Front End Web Architect. This person can sit in either Raleigh or San Diego. This person will be re-writing and doing the architecture on a NextGen platform and reporting their solutions to the Lead of Architecture. This person needs to be an expert in web development. They will spend 30% of their day writing front end code in (Angular, JavaScript, CSS and HTML5) and 70% on the architecture side, specifically for their NextGen clinical platform. They will act as a Tech Lead to a team of 8 front end developers and communicate with the mobile team on challenges they face in Mobile OS. The mobile team has a Sr. Architect as well and this person will be interfacing with them daily. This person has to be a subject matter expert in web and be able to understand the basics of the mobile side in order to communicate effectively with the Lead Architect for that team.

Responsibilities
Ability to lead a team of engineers that are building out our product in a microservice architecture

Work with PMO to ensure the team can be successful with:
correct inputs into our Agile SDLC (grooming sessions, user stories, etc).
planning and scoping of projects
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies
Partner with Quality Assurance to produce scalable, secure and highly functional releases utilizing Agile methods and tightly integrated development/test practices.
Partner with DevOps to ensure stability and ease of deployments for our products
Work with Engineering architecture to organize the team for feature development
Mentor employees and lead them down the engineering pipeline, eventually choosing management, guru, or architectural discipline
Lead collaboration with peers and Creative Team on UI and interaction designs
Implement intuitive, maintainable, responsive web application UIs using JavaScript technologies
Collaborate with architect to build reusable code and libraries for future use
Ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
Build appropriate unit, integration and/or automated testing solutions
Use the API and SDK to support Clinical 6 platform functionality
Qualifications
8+ years of experience (expert level) in web development with at least 2 of those years in architecting front-end application frameworks. 30% writing front end code in (Angular, JavaScript, CSS and HTML5) and 70% on the architecture side. Specifically for our NextGen clinical platform initiative. They will act as a Tech Lead to a team of 8 front end developers.
1 + years of basic experience working with the Mobile OS side. They will need to understand the challenges you face on Mobile (apple care kit, apple research kit) and be able to communicate with the Mobile team on these challenges.
Agile background
6 + years of experience working heavily on new design and new development, specifically in (Angular and JavaScript)

Preferred:
Comes from a healthcare background
Jira experience
Git and GitHub for source control and code repository
CE/CI/CD/ release-on-demand and DevOps principals
Understanding of service orientation and micro-services patterns and practices
HTML5/CSS3
Modern web application architectures
