The Infrastructure, Operations and Cloud team that sits inside the Schwab Technology Services', (STS), team is in need of a Senior Tools Technology Disaster Recovery (TDR) – Attestation person. What you are good at
Provide Data Center (DC), TDR Technical Team support of STS’ Application community and Infrastructure Services teams. This includes support for Schwab deployed Applications and Systems for on-prem and Public Cloud. This is a position will lead DR Plan management of new/changed Apps & systems to ensure recovery tasks and scripts are kept current and written thoroughly with the highest quality. This requires critical thinking and tactical delivery of DR projects; inclusive of multi-DC DR Attestation, in-house and SaaS tool advances, planning and execution of Public Cloud Region Level DR. Provide leadership to design and deploy automation, enforce ITDR Governance Standards, and guide clients in the use of standard methodologies. Serve as Agile development team member to participate in pre-exercise DR Plan readiness, Exercise execution & post-exercise failure remediation activities. Work within the TDR standard operating processes to deliver DR product and services, ensuring premiere work. This is inclusive of TDR special projects, DC expansion and consolidations, Infrastructure buildouts (PaaS, IaaS), Audit and Resilience reporting, and Infrastructure refreshes. Perform detailed analytic activities related to DR Governance Standard consistency. Deliver ongoing feedback regarding risk management, mitigation, and prevention. Actively participate in working sessions to address DR exercise failures and measurement of RTO. Continually improve internal DR process utilizing constantly evolving requirements and technologies available; demonstrate excellent judgment with the ability to navigate ambiguity. You must demonstrate exceptional decision-making skills, ability to communicate effectively at all levels of management, implement sustaining solutions, risk mitigations, and know when to raise up matters.
What you have
7+ years of demonstrated experience dedicated to IT infrastructure systems
With 5 of those in disaster recovery operations and management and 3 years within Public Cloud deployment
Must enjoy acting as liaison for TDR and examination of disaster recovery plans
Experience managing large projects simultaneously using well developed sound project management skills
Experience working in multi-functional IT teams
Must have in-depth understanding of current recovery solutions, high availability architectures and mainframe architectures as is knowledge of crisis communication solutions
DCO / ITO operations background is recommended
Efficient time management and organization skills
Experience establishing, managing and communication with Application SMEs and leads to cultivate strong partnerships
Understanding of elementary IT server & network (IP, LB, Firewall) principles is critical
Ability to plan, organize, attention to detail and lead the testing of emergency response, recovery support, deadline delivery and business resumption procedures
Remedy, Troux, xMatters, MIR3 working experience is beneficial
MS Office Suite, MS Project, Visio
SharePoint Experience a plus
Fusion ITDR SaaS is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
