Under the direction of the COO other administrator, perform complex accounting clerical work of moderate difficulty in keeping or reviewing the bank’s financial and statistical records; maintain accounts within a major accounting functional area.
Perform specialized accounting of major functional activities, such as maintaining ledgers, prepare reports as needed.
Coordinate and compile annual and interim physical inventory counts; review and monitor the completeness and accuracy of on-hand descriptions, quantities and valuations.
Review and make corrections to accounting records; monitor and record expenditure adjustments and transfer of funds.
Perform assigned accounts payable general ledger,
Maintain related files and records; input and verify data into computer terminal.
Maintain contact with the bank and other personnel and respond to questions regarding financial accounting procedures and transactions.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
Two to three years of experience in financial accounting activities
Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications
Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulations
Thorough knowledge of accounting, reporting, and analysis
Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze data
Deal tactfully and effectively with employees and others.
Cooperate with other employees and maintain effective working relationships.
Perform moderately complex accounting calculations.
Meet schedules and time lines.
Work confidentially with discretion.
Operate a variety of office machines, including computers and calculator.
Read and understand computer - generated accounting reports.
