Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Performs all Shipping tasks including, but not limited to verification of piece count and condition of finished goods and material to be shipped and the air waybill / bill of lading verification of outbound product through coordination with both internal personnel and assigned carriers. Performs all Receiving tasks, including, but not limited to the unloading of trucks and delivery vehicles, unpacking of boxes, examination of goods received, verification of delivery receipts and paperwork with shipment contents, the physical movement of goods to other areas within the facility.
Performs all Raw Material Store functions, including, but not limited to the loading and unloading of bulk raw material to and from assigned carriers, the processing of material receipts and the transfer of items to other departments and outside vendors.
Performs all Component Store functions including, but not limited to the receipt and disbursement of goods under jurisdiction of the Components Storeroom.
Performs all responsibilities within productivity and quality expectations. Follows work procedures.
Acts as a troubleshooter for cell process problems. Resolves problems or refers problems to the appropriate individual.
Maintains clean and safe work environment. Follows safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Reports safety incidents to supervisor.
Makes recommendations for improvements to work processes. Coordinates a 5 S program in the work area.
Provides a high level of service to all internal and external customers. Contributes to positive teamwork environment.
Education: High School diploma / GED.
Experience: 2 – 4 years shipping, receiving, inventory or material control experience.
