Police Athletic League (PAL) is the largest independent youth organization in New York City that provides educational and recreational activities for children and young adults. PAL Inc. and The New York City Police Department work in partnership to provide communities with summer and after-school recreational and educational activities.

We are looking for a part-time Lifeguard to work on the PAL Summer Camps. The Aquatics team will accompany camps on their aquatics field trips. The Aquatics team will work with PAL camps throughout the City when they are going on trips. The hours will vary depending on the length of trip, but on average, there are 25-35 hours per week.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

Assist aquatics field trips for PAL summer camps
Assist PAL camp staff with the supervision of campers on trips.
Oversee aquatics field trips for PAL summer camps.
Supervise a team of 3 lifeguards who will be on the field trips.
Assist PAL camp staff with the supervision of campers on trips.
Work with Program Manager to ensure all trips are compliant with DOH policies.
Provide weekly reports to Program Manager
Skills/Knowledge Required

Must have lifeguarding, first aid, and CPR certification requirements.
Minimum H.S. diploma/GED.
Previous lifeguarding experience (preferred)
Must be flexible in daily hours.
Will have to travel to different locations throughout NYC.
Must be a team player.
