About the Position: This position is with the Headquarters, US Army Corps of Engineers, Military Programs Directorate located in Washington, D. C. This position will be filled on a permanent basis.
Execute principles involving real estate acquisition and management transactions for major projects and complex situations.
Develop and apply new standards to solve the most complex real estate problems or transactions.
Apply knowledge of a wide variety of policies and regulations applicable to real estate transactions.
Lead regulatory real estate scenarios including trespass, acquisition, leasing, condemnation , closing , environmental requirements, taking claims, claims arising from real estate documents, disposals, and other types of property interests.
Occasional travel - Occassional travel may be required for this position.

This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level III in Acquisition, Career Field Facilities Engineering within 24 months of entrance on duty.
This position requires the submission of a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Specialized Experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled such as: Utilizing a broad level of Real Estate policies, regulations, laws and guidance; Assist with ensuring organizational Real Estate activities are performed within regulation; Frequently Communicate with Major Commands, Major Subordinate Commands, installation commanders, US Army Corps of Engineers elements, Dept. of Army, and Air Force, and high level representatives of other Federal agencies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
