The Senate Sergeant at Arms (SAA) is currently seeking a talented Superintendent of Mail Processing Facility to oversee the safety and security of incoming mail. Work includes managing the day-to-day operations of the offsite Senate Mail Processing Facility, including overseeing the security of the facility and its operations, supervising facility employees, assigning work, and maintaining inventories and work records. The incumbent has contact with various SAA departments and vendors to resolve problems and respond to needs in providing secure mail service to the Senate community. Work is performed according to the Senate Mail Services Guide, Rules of the Senate, and U.S. Postal Service (USPS) operations. Work is performed with considerable independence under the general supervision of the Deputy Postmaster.
