Position Summary

The primary job of the IVX Clinical Consultant will be implementation and expert IV workflow safety consulting and leadership, including clinical discovery, formulary build, protocol and workflow creation and process validation for sites adopting IVX Workflow and Cloud.

To accomplish this, the Clinical Consultant must be a highly experienced, motivated individual with a proven record of achievement in helping customers realize success in healthcare automated sterile compounding, while providing operational and clinical insights that can be extended into the pharmacy and hospital or health system.

The individual will work within a team at our regional headquarters located in Cranberry Township, PA. This resource will report to the Director of the Director of IV Clinical Services.

Essential Functions

Planning and Implementation: Guide new customers on the setup and optimization of the IVX workflow management system and IVX Cloud including support on design and implementation of processes and infrastructure within the health system related to IV pharmacy operations
Execution: Assist existing customers with ongoing optimization of their IVX workflow management system and IVX Cloud and processes to ensure system-level goals are met
Sustainability: Lead development and commercialization of benchmarking, best practices and other services to ensure customer realizes the full value of their investment over the long-term
Sales Support: Provide consultation to prospective customers to convey the vision of the IVX workflow management system and IVX Cloud
Performs pre-installation clinical discovery and assessment of existing IV workflow, formulary and IV compounding practices which includes specific opportunities for IVX safety improvements
Develop and lead site specific presentations and education to site leaders and staff concerning IVX workflow options and best practice and drive consensus on key workflow decisions for the site. Provide expert clinical consulting regarding IVX workflow and IVX cloud.
Consult with clients and serve as the subject matter expert in planning, executing implementation of IVX or modifying their IV workflow/program to achieve best practice and improve safety.
Develop recommendations and implementation plans for IVX workflow and IVX Cloud which incorporates customer configuration data and feedback and maximizes adoption success
Lead the site formulary build and the protocol development process that delivers maximum customer benefit and operational efficiency
Lead validation efforts to insure that the system works as designed for all protocols, formularies and interfaces
Deliver on-site training for end-user customer staff and other consulting as needed for implementation and adoption
Engage in kickoff meetings and calls and actively address clinical concerns and issues. Resolve all issues prior to go-live
Identify, lead and direct OCF approval process for implementation sites
Provide clinical consulting expertise to the IVX development process via product marketing
Gain and maintain detailed working knowledge of the IVX development pathway
Gain and maintain subject matter expertise for IVX workflow and IVX cloud. Provide expert clinical consulting regarding IVX workflow and IVX cloud.
Manage and direct clinical activities for multiple implementation and optimization projects concurrently
Required Knowledge and Skills

Proven analytical and data analysis skills
Strong communication skills and customer relation skills. Ability to present effectively to senior executives.
Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
Expert knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations and inpatient IV programs
Clinical skills and experience sufficient to consultation for formulary changes based on overall healthsystem impacts
Strong entrepreneurial perspective and ability to define and deliver market opportunities
High comfort level managing multiple projects simultaneously
Work collaboratively with customers and drive consensus at both a strategic and operational level to enable the full value of solutions across the health system
Develop and credibly deliver executive-level presentations
Develop content and processes delivered into repeatable, extensible offerings for customers
Operationalize medication management best practices to ensure consistent and sustainable results for customer using the solution
Manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work collaboratively at various levels of the organizations both internally and externally.
The ability to work with advanced systems, test for accuracy, and uncover and solve potential technical issues or escalate to leadership when appropriate.
Must have the ability to interact with a team, collaborate, share
Basic Qualifications

PharmD; OR BS Pharmacy and Master Degree; OR BS Pharmacy with 10 years hospital pharmacy practice
Registered Pharmacist
5+ years technical product consulting experience with or related to IV automation OR 5+ years of experience managing hospital inpatient pharmacy operations including inpatient IV programs
5+ years of experience in pharmacy informatics and data analysis and 2+ years of experience working with inpatient hospital and pharmacy information systems (e.g. Epic, Cerner, etc)
Deep understanding of hospital medication management automation with emphasis on IV workflow management systems (i.e. pharmacy robots, carousel technology, medication cabinets, and IV workflow management systems such as DoseEdge)
Expert knowledge of overall hospital pharmacy operations
Documented experience developing and presenting high-level cost-benefit models to senior level executives
Preferred Knowledge and Skills

Pharmacy or Senior Healthcare management experience. i.e Director of Pharmacy or VP Hospital Operations
Pharmacy or healthcare consulting experience
MBA - or other Advanced degree preferred
Advanced Project management training and certification
Six Sigma/Lean trained
Experience in developing and presenting technical training or teaching programs
Work Conditions

Travel is required up to 80%
