More information about this job: Short Description: The Director of Business Operations is a senior level position responsible for optimizing and growing the Women’s and Children’s Institute including OB/GYN, perinatology, urogynecology, general pediatrics, pediatric neurology, pediatric gastroenterology, neonatology, allergy, infectious disease, and the Professional Service Agreements with Nemours for the following pediatric divisions: pulmonary, endocrinology, surgery, cardiology, and any others that are added in the future (ortho, urology, ENT, oncology). The Director of Business Operations works closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, administrators, senior leadership, community-based organizations, and other healthcare organizations. The Director of Business Operations for the Women’s & Children’s Institute is responsible for: • Implementing the Institute’s strategic growth plan; • Monitoring the overall performance of the Institute and escalates issues to Senior Director of Strategic Business Operations as needed; • Monitoring PSAs; • Strategic recruitment of providers (e.g. working to backfill providers, replacement and/or temporary coverage) • On-boarding and off-boarding providers • Schedule optimization – maximizing utilization of office space and provider schedules • Creating and maintaining provider template standards and access center protocols for the Institutes • Liasing with Amb Ops on office workflows involving providers and patient facing issues This position will be the direct supervisor of one (1) Administrative Manager and indirect supervisor of one (1) Executive Secretary; one (1) Sec II; four (4) Division Coordinator; and four (4) Clinical Secretaries.

Special Requirements: Scheduled Days / Hours: Mon-Fri, 8-430 Education: BA/BS required. Master’s degree desired in business, healthcare administration, or operations management. Experience: 5+ years experience leading, optimizing, and growing complex healthcare teams, or related work. Experience: Highly skilled leader with 5+ years experience in healthcare or a world-class consulting organization.

Success in leadership of complex teams, strategic alliances, and change management projects; experience with organizational development and business unit innovation; proven ability to attract and retain top talent; expertise in producing and executing high quality business plans. Thorough and broad understanding of current issues and future challenges facing healthcare delivery systems preferred. Demonstrated ability to effectively diagnose, isolate, and resolve complex problems pertaining to business operations, organization development, customer satisfaction, and change management. Other Qualifications: Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are required; strong oral/written communication skills, including diplomacy and the ability to work with all disciplines, levels, and backgrounds, is also a must.

Exceptional strength in strategic thinking, analysis and problem solving, organizational leadership, collaboration, and a results-oriented vision and focus. Strong analytical skills, and experience with performance improvement methodologies and data-driven decision-making. Ability to direct and manage multiple priorities and staff members, utilize effective time management skills, and exercise sound administrative judgment.
