Candidate must possess the required Management, Maintenance & Carpentry Skills:

  • Have a working knowledge of carpentry, construction, repair, & rehab. skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, & electrical a plus, including:
  • Managing 60 units
  • Uphold day to day operations of agency
  • Implement and enforce all requirements set forth by HUD and agency
  • Report submission to HUD Offices and Iowa Finance Authority
  • Maintain office and maintenance departments
  • Supervise and direct onsite staff and contractors
  • Keep excellent tenant and applicant files
  • Perform basic monthly accounting duties
  • Leasing of units
  • Monthly payroll and quarterly reports
  • Hanging and finishing drywall
  • Installing doors and millwork
  • Painting
  • Light plumbing
  • Light electrical work
  • Siding
  • And solid troubleshooting skills * Performing routine repairs and maintenance to appliances, plumbing and electrical components and performing light carpentry and drywall repair.
  • Completing work orders and apartment turnovers
  • Completing necessary paper work and communicating with the management team as necessary
  • Maintaining supplies and inventory
  • Obtaining vendor bids for select and special tasks.
