Reporting to the Regional Vice President and dedicated to a Team of like-minded individuals, success in the role is demonstrated by solving technical issues associated with existing customers. These issues may be as simple as walking someone through a how-to over the phone to being on-site for an extended training or technical, hands-on configuration. Acting with humility while being the SME is critical and will leave your mark on our existing customer base and ensure delivery of best-in-class service and solutions.

Spinitar is a California-based company and an award-winning audiovisual unified communications, product, and service organization providing innovative visual communication systems to the industrial / commercial market worldwide. Spinitar is comprised of three business units: Unified Communications, Visual Products Group, and Service. Our 32-year old firm provides services to corporate, education, and government users.

The Requirements

To be a strong fit for the role of Senior Service Technician, you will need:

  • A technical degree, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of client-facing field experience in the professional audiovisual industry
  • Experience with managing multiple priorities in a customer-facing role
  • Demonstrated service focus with experience handling difficult customers
  • Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification highly preferred

Additionally, you should have the following core competencies and characteristics:

  • Both a self-starter balanced with being a team-player
  • Work with integrity with limited direction and supervision
  • Excellent planning skills
  • Proactive communication -- provide answers and status updates to the customers' questions before they ask
  • Excellent time management, strong verbal and written communication skills

Role Overview

As a Senior Service Technician, you will partner with the Northwest region’s service team. You will provide new and existing customers with ongoing support for their audiovisual systems. You will have more direct contact with customers than anyone on the team. As a result, your service level must be top-notch with a constant mind for meeting customer needs. Knowledge and foresight to predict issues before they arise is critical.

You will be on point for all types of post-integration service and support. Your ability to communicate regularly and effectively with your customers, teammates and internal resources (i.e. the Technical Services Manager, installation teams, warehouse personnel, subcontractors, etc.) will be paramount to your success.

As you work through each project, you'll also need to keep your coach and team in the loop and regularly updated. In addition, this is customer service, and as you know through experience, the nature of the role can produce pressures. To excel, you'll thrive under pressure, handle multiple deadlines, and be able to de-escalate volatile customer concerns.
