Purpose of Position
RouteOne is looking for a Manager, Software QA responsible for all aspects of quality control throughout the software development cycle. This involves continual development and implementation of rigorous testing strategies, methods, and procedures to evaluate the quality of the enterprise software platform and components using a variety of processes across manual, automation, test frameworks, regression, and mobile platform testing. The Manager, Software QA will have deep technical knowledge of web application testing software, execution, best practices, and methodologies. The person filling this position should be hands-on with proven leadership, management, communication, and team building skills.

Essential Functions
Implement a strategy throughout the QA department and employee team that ensures products and services are properly tested and operate as intended
Lead efforts to enhance and make the testing process more efficient and increase coverage of automated testing
Comfortable changing and improving existing testing strategies
Hire, train, schedule, develop and supervise quality assurance staff, leads, and managers
Work with other senior members of the IT Leadership organization in the design and development of new products and services
Work closely with the entire software development team to ensure full knowledge of the proposed software design and that testing covers all aspects of intended functionality
Establish necessary staffing levels to ensure the accuracy and thoroughness of testing throughout the development and production process
Testing experience should include all phases: unit, integration, system, user acceptance, regression, automation, load and performance
Provide feedback and quality metrics to create transparency and spur improvements in the software development process
Provide notification of any bugs or issues to business operations and management to make them aware of the progress being made on projects
Provide hands-on leadership, training, development, and mentoring to the project resources in the area of quality assurance
Oversee automation test team to ramp up and execute on best practices
Provide input as to project time and resource estimates for the testing process
Be involved in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle; for example, review requirement and design documents and provide feedback
Demonstrate technical leadership experience in test strategy, planning, coverage, automation, and best practices
Perform all work in accordance with company policies, quality program, programs, standards and procedures
Maintain safety, security, and privacy standards throughout all areas of responsibility and in accordance with company policies

Essential Requirements
10+ years of relevant experience
5+ years of experience as a manager leading teams of individual contributors
Experience in developing and implementing strategies, practices, and procedures for all phases of testing including: unit, integration, system, user acceptance, mobile, and regression
Experience developing test scripts from Use Cases and/or Requirement documents, and Technical Documentation
Strong experience with automation testing, performance testing and load testing tools and methodologies required
Previous testing experience in a structured QA environment is preferred
Excellent organizational, critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills
Ability to formulate and implement improvements into test processes and practices
Ability to work on numerous tasks simultaneously
Must be able to effectively prioritize and assign work in order to meet deadlines
Must be detail-oriented and possess exceptional written, verbal, and organizational skills
Must be able to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical users at all levels of the organization
Maintain documentation for all testing activities
Ability to handle working under pressure and in constrained timelines
Must be a dynamic and self-starting individual who is able to work independently or as part of a team with minimal guidance and direction
BS in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
Experience with TFS and Selenium a plus
