This position is responsible as the overall Sourcing leader for the new product development program that he or she is assigned. Each development program with new or changing hardware shall have a Sourcing Project/Program manager assigned and they will be responsible for all aspects of the sourcing and procurement process for that program. He/she will support the ISC focal AME NPD Engineer/Project Manager also assigned to that program. Specifically, his/her responsibilities will include: identifying suppliers at the proposal phase of the program, facilitating the design input, feedback, & dispositions, executing contractual terms review and concurrence, initiating Request for Information/Quotation (RFI/RFQ), executing E-auction and contract award, and finally managing development hardware deliverables and part design changes. He/she will lead the appropriate product/program NPI Sourcing scope of work from concept development to production transition through coordination, negotiation and partnering with ISC Operations, Global Sourcing and Procurement, Planning, Quality, Engineering, Program Management, and the business teams.
Additional responsibilities will include:
Executing > 95% on-time to the product/program cost and schedule with Honeywell Milestone Reporting (HMR) accountability for Category 1 - Category 3 Sourcing and Early Supplier Engagement milestones including development hardware deliveries
Executing the end-to-end ESE principles including source identification, supplier feedback and disposition, e-auction, and new part contracting meeting UPC, Launch Contribution, and Material Productivity requirements
Executing the demonstrated UPC actuals at or below target cost at full rate production per the new part contracting process.
Leading product level NPI improvement initiatives to drive product and process improvements related to external supply chain and cost.
Supporting Customer and Supplier communications to ensure and improve product/program sourcing and development hardware activities
Lead the deployment and implementation of systemic continuous improvements within the ESE, Flawless Launch and NPI processes.
Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customers satisfaction goals and objectives
Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, suppliers, and customers
Up to 10% Travel
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor’s degree or minimum 3 years of experience in supply management, sourcing, procurement or project management
Must be a U.S. Citizen due to contractual requirements
Strong analytical and innovative mindset to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Able to articulate points of view with senior leaders, but execute plans when directed
Demonstrate actionable results by delivering against targets for milestone fidelity
Strong project management skills including the ability to manage priorities and workflow
Demonstrated ability to think strategically but detailed oriented to support ideology with facts
Strong leadership/influencing skills and ability to direct a cross-functional team
