Is responsible for the efficient, effective management of the operational functions of the branch, ensuring that established policies and procedures are followed and delegating many of the day-to-day operations to the Assistant Branch Manager. The Manager will be available to make business calls and to represent the Bank at civic and/or service club functions. The Branch Manager will spend a significant portion of the work week making calls on businesses and marketing bank services to the community. The position of Branch Manager of the branch is fully responsible for the staff and the operational functions. The manager will also have primary responsibility for all types of loans. Monitors branch performance and makes appropriate recommendations on marketing promotions to enhance sale of bank products and to increase market share.
A thorough knowledge of branch operations and bank policy to coordinate the daily functioning of the branch.
The ability to speak, read, and write English; count currency; and to perform loan calculations.
The ability to proficiently operate a PC with a variety of bank software programs.
Mental/visual skills necessary to effectively and efficiently monitor customer deposits and lending transactions.
Keyboarding skills required.
A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with additional bank specific training
Three to five years of progressively more responsible experience within a financial organization.
