Sodexo has an exciting job opportunity for a financial analyst to be part of the new Central Finance team dedicated to supporting our Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) contracts – per Corporate Services North America’s strategy to run all IFM contracts through the Sodexo Command Center based in Youngstown, OH.
The key objectives for the Central Finance IFM team are to:
Coordinate with the Command Center to ensure vendor invoices are received and processed in a timely fashion;
Collect accurate operational data related to variable work and create invoices based on contract terms and identified scope of services;
If applicable, will serve as main finance unit controller resource for small IFM account;
Provide financial reporting and backups required by client to account finance team; and
Serve as compliance resource to ensure the end-to-end financial processes related to the Command Center are being followed; and recommend process improvements.
This position will be required to serve as a financial intermediary between the Command Center, Operational Leads and account-specific Finance teams. Ability to collaborate with multiple groups and customer-centric capabilities are essential to being successful. This is a new department so additional responsibilities may be added as the group evolves.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Ensure assets, liabilities, revenues and expenses are accurately reported and accounted for in conformity to GAAP and company accounting policies.
Analyze vendor spend to budget; and ensure timely proper categorization and allocation into Base or Above Base (variable and project) cost centers.
Analyze operating and financial statement information to understand trends and recommend changes to account team on cost control, financial controls or modifications;
Work with Operations to develop flash (financial projections).
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of client invoicing.
Prepares reports and backups as needed and ensure timely client reporting.
Review vendor spend to budget, ensure timely receipt of vendor invoices and payment.
May lead or assist in developing annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
Conduct training on Command Center process and internal controls as necessary.
Serve as Command Center finance expert and manage setups of new accounts; and serve as intermediary between account finance team and the Command Center. May permanently manage all finance and accounting responsibilities for smaller accounts with no dedicated unit controller.
Drive standardizations and performance improvement of the financial processes at the unit level and ensure compliance on internal controls.
Ensure client issues are timely resolved. Present recommendations to senior management to make process better.
Understand basic contract principles to apply principles to expense and revenue recognition.
Perform unit audits as may be assigned.

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
