Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) is looking for a motivated individual with a strong delivery record and leadership experience to own, build capabilities and execute network planning for our dynamic, fast-paced transportation business. Major responsibilities
  • Define the strategy for and lead a team in executing all loads flowing through the North America middle mile ground transportation network
  • Generate, and implement innovate ideas which accelerate our already fast growing business
  • Partner closely with our ATS tech and research teams to build capabilities which drive insights and automation both from a product and system architecture standpoint
  • Perform complex data analysis to identify opportunities to increase optimization efficiencies, reduce fulfillment costs and improve the customer experience
  • Communicate complex analysis and insights to stakeholders and business leaders, both verbally and in writing
  • Lead and support cross functional teams in expanding the middle mile network to include inbound and Sort Center outbound
  • Design, develop and establish KPIs to monitor the health of the business and provide strategic insights to drive growth and performance
  • Build clear, insight driven, actionable reporting which monitors the health of the network and identifies opportunities for change
  • Partner with Tech and relentlessly work towards a fully automated, hands off the wheel planning function
  • Develop sustainable processes and capabilities to systematically integrate with cross functional ATS teams to manage accelerated growth while simultaneously reducing defects
  • Partner closely with LH Forecasting to integrate our machine learning forecast with network changes to manage variability
  • Masters Degree in Supply Chain Engineering, Business or related field
  • 5+ years experience in supply chain, transportation planning
  • Advanced quantitative modeling skills
  • Advanced knowledge in scripting with R and or Python
  • Advanced knowledge in building visualizations in Tableau
