What you will do at Siemens Smart Infrastructure:
As a Product Manager at Siemens, you are the entrepreneurial owner of your product range. Working in a cross-functional world-class development environment, you are responsible to identify and deliver a competitive range of products and services that leverage leading software technologies that will shape the future of the security industry and help to meet our business goals – create loyal customers, generate growth, and maximize return on investment.
In addition to traditional product management functions, the Product Manager for Siveillance video and SiPass access control system products will also provide pre-sales, design, and commissioning support for the Americas region. This includes support for bidding technically compliant and cost-effective solutions which meet customers’ requirements, assisting with design of technical solutions, and providing on-site commissioning support on projects. Besides providing direct support, the Product Manager will also conduct product and solution rollouts, roadshows, and sales training for the security portfolio.
As Product Manager, you will:
Act as the entrepreneurial owner of Siveillance and SiPass security system solutions.
Develop business plans and product introduction plans.
Manage the product life-cycle through product definition, development, rollout, maintenance, and phase out.
Represent the voice of the customer within the organization; understand the user experience, and the evolving needs and workflows of our customers in the digital age.
Drive cross-functional activities related to training, documentation, tools, marketing, sales support, technical support, and logistics for the product range.
Create and maintains pricing structures and price position, including ROI impacts.
Provide sales and operations teams with channel-specific value propositions and technical expertise required to appropriately apply and cost effectively deliver solutions to our customers.
Stay abreast of new technology trends and how it impacts the solution model.
Assist the field organization with designing security solutions based on customer requirements
Review submittals and provide technical input about security related bids
Monitor the progress of critical projects
Mentor, educate, and train the distribution partners
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Bachelors degree in Engineering or Business Administration, or equivalent work experience
Proven strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex technology concepts simply and concisely
Ideal candidate will have 1-5 years experience in Product Management with a focus on software products and technologies
Ideal candidate will have experience with video management and access control systems, especially the Siemens Siveillance, Siemens SiPass, or Milestone XProtect products
Ideal candidate will have experience working with private-labeled OEM software products
