This PeopleSoft Administrator provides full-time systems administration services in the Identity & Middleware Services (IMS) group of the Office of Information Technology, with a primary responsibility for system administration support of the Oracle PeopleSoft Student Information System. The PeopleSoft Administrator supports ongoing maintenance of the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions application (aka Student Administration (SA)) and future deployments of other components of the PeopleSoft ERP system. This position works closely with other members of the iNtegrate team, including the iNtegrate Technical Lead, System and Database Administrators, Developers, Application Specialists, and key business partners. Primary responsibilities are the configuration, maintenance, and support of the Oracle/PeopleSoft system on UNIX in a multi-server, load-balanced, high-availability environment. Many upgrade and maintenance tasks will require work to be performed during non-business hours. The position requires occasional off-hours support and will participate in the group's On-Call rotation.


Education: This position requires a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.

Experience: This position requires a minimum of 3 years of related professional experience.

The position requires working knowledge in the following areas:

Thorough understanding of PeopleSoft system architecture
Experience in setup and maintenance of PIA, Tuxedo, Web Logic, SQR, COBOL, Animator
Configuring load balanced Web and App server environment with failover capability for HA
Working knowledge of PeopleSoft Integration Broker
Working knowledge of PeopleSoft user security, roles and web profiles
Experience in applying PeopleSoft application patches/fixes
Implementing and maintaining STAT to migrate PeopleSoft objects across numerous distributed environments

Preference will be given to applicants who also have:
Experience with at least one PeopleSoft upgrade including application and tools release
Knowledge of performance and stress testing
Knowledge of related 3rd party tools including reporting tools such as Crystal Reports
Working knowledge of UNIX operating system and shell scripts
Installing and managing Digital Certificates on Web Server and CSS
Experience using SQL based query and reporting tools, ideally accessing an Oracle RDBMS
The position requires high ethical standards and the ability to plan, manage, and supervise systems. Attention to detail, a team orientation and a strong commitment to deliver high quality customer service are essential.


Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. The position is contingent upon funding with a minimum starting salary of $75,000.
