Vice President of marketing is in charge of developing and implementing a proper marketing and communication strategy within the company. The purpose of this strategy is to determine and support permanent business growth and to ensure brand equity and awareness within the society. The VP of marketing handles all marketing activities in order to fulfill the company's aims of sales, growth and profitability.Main ResponsibilitiesPlan, organize and manage all the marketing activities for the organizationEstablish, develop and implement the company's marketing strategiesDevelop and implement new communication ideas, proposals and strategiesFormulate and implement the marketing policies and objectives within the companyCreate and develop strategies for promoting and selling products or servicesCoordinate and collaborate with all the staff from the marketing departmentParticipate in conferences, national and international fairs and other marketing related events Education and TrainingThose who want to become Vice President of marketing must have a strong educational background and extended working experience in this domain. Most VPs in the field of Marketing are required to have at least a Master's Degree in one of these fields: Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Advertising, Public Relations or Sales.
Also, at least 8 to 10 years of previous experience in sales or advertising and coordinating a team are mandatory. Experience is the most important aspect taken into consideration for this position.
