Job Description and Responsibilities:

  • Work with students 1 on 1 and in group settings in an innovative learning company

  • Provide complete support and follow-up to students, teachers, and parents via phone, text, and e-mail
  • Complete detailed lesson plans, evaluations, and other forms as required
  • Dedicated and Passionate as well as experienced in the SAT/ACT (Math and Verbal)
  • Must be able to demonstrate and understand Math/English and Verbal/Test Prep concepts, and be able to communicate those concepts to students
  • Work closely with the Directors in order to promote success and achievement
  • Motivation to engage, communicate, and help young adults succeed
  • Assess students’ academic, personal, and career development needs
  • Monitor students academic performance and participate in periodic reports

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Complete Application and submit a current resume listing all experience and academic degrees
  • NYS Certifications/Degrees strongly preferred, but all interested candidates should apply (teachers, retirees, recent graduates, college students, professionals). Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral Degree in your special discipline
  • Ability to perform at a professional high caliber on the SAT/ACT
  • Strong Academic Background and/or experience in the subject area(s) you are applying
  • Applicants must have access to a reliable vehicle
  • New York State Fingerprint Clearance or passing a background check required
  • Committed to new and innovative methods in education, including current educational technology and methods, computer skills required
  • Must be able to articulate engaging methodologies in teaching and learning styles
  • A dynamic teacher that is creative and inquisitive, as well as a flexible thinker
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and part of a team
  • Excellent listening Skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse groups
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism
  • Experience in SAT/ACT prep preferred
