About Our Job
Denver International Airport (DEN)has an opportunity for a Systems Support Administrator on our Client Field Services Team.

As a Systems Support Administrator you will assist with the maintenance and repair of routine customer problems with system hardware and software. You will perform entry level professional information technology (IT) work installing and configuring operating system hardware and software and user application software.

The ideal candidate will have experience with, Windows Active Directory, Citrix, DNS, andDHCP. Additionally - Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Exchange, SCCM, PowerShell, Virus protection (Norton, McAfee, etc.), and EMC enterprise storage would be a plus.

Some of the day to day:
Serves as the liaison between Business Technologies groups and customers to assist with projects associated with hardware and software implementations and upgrades supporting the needs of our customers.

Participate in project meetings and coordinate project work by documenting procedures, implementing processes, communicating and training appropriate staff. Address hardware and software concerns with new services to ensure functionality and minimize customer impact.

Performing technical support in the field to users with complex and non-routine hardware and software problems, which includes: logging, troubleshooting, testing, adjusting, resolving, or referring problems to the appropriate Information Technology resource.

Installing and repairing desktop hardware and software; installs/uninstalls voice and data systems; and processes work orders for voice, video, and data users

Assist with evaluation and recommendation of various hardware and software solutions to meet user needs by researching, testing, and working with customers and vendors.

Works with other professional IT staff to develop and maintain technical procedures, documentation, and operational instructions and/or project or work order status. Provide training to user groups and lower classified IT staff on hardware and software troubleshooting and processes.

Assist with maintaining computerized inventory of IT equipment and specialized services for users.

Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
About You

Baccalaureate Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Business Administration, Mathematics, or a related field.

A Baccalaureate Degree in an unrelated field plus 30 semester hours of course work in Information Technology will substitute for the minimum education requirement. OR Appropriate education and experience may substitute for the minimum education and experience requirement.

Classification Title: The official job classification title Staff Information Technology System Administrator.

Assessments/Testing: This position does not require testing.

Snow / Emergency Duties:Denver International Airport is a 24/7/365 team operation. If weather conditions warrant or an emergency crisis occurs, all DEN employees can be required to work extended hours and/or shifts.

Probationary Period: This position may require the selected candidate to complete at least a six-month probationary period prior to attaining career status with the City & County of Denver.
