PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The position will primarily support employee relations issues, corrective actions, grievances, and assist Human Resources Management on the resolution of informal and formal complaints and investigations.

Monitors adherence to company policies, procedures, and practices and recommends changes and updates to meet current organization needs. Also provides strong support in performance management, compensation, ADA, Job Analysis, Request for Guidance, leaves of absence, and other HR related matters.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Works under the direct supervision of the Senior Human Resources Administrative Manager with dotted line to Senior Director of Human Resources in certain areas, with latitude for independent judgment and decision making in defined areas of responsibility.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
Indirect supervision provided through influencing and advising managers and supervisors regarding employee relations matters, complaints, and corrective actions.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent work experience/education combined. Four years experience in Human Resources with an emphasis in employee relations resolution. Accurate and up to date knowledge of California employment laws and federal labor laws. Ability to manage a high volume workload, work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines. Demonstrate reasoning skills, sound judgment, and the ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquires or complaints. Proficient PC skills including current versions of Microsoft Office package; experience with ADP and/or other HRIS required. Strong writing skills with good grammar, English and spelling. Valid California driver's license, liability insurance, and a DMV record acceptable to Goodwill's insurance company.

OTHER:
Position requires the employee to maintain confidentiality of all information related to the Human Resources Function. Highly effective interpersonal skills and communications skills are necessary to interact with all levels of management, employees, volunteers, and program participants.
