Concrete Construction Foreman/SuperintendentÂ
Primary duties include:
Oversee multiple construction projects and daily activities of 10-25 onsite workers.Â
Ensure that company policies and procedures are followed in the field in regard to safety, scheduling, budget, quality and customer satisfaction.Â
Possess strong leadership skills to work cohesively with team, subcontractors, general contractors, inspectors and project leaders.
Requirements, Desired Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of Superintendent experience
Must have at least 10 years of Form Carpenter experience
OSHA knowledge & fluency in site safety procedures & best practices
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed
Ensure that subcontractor and direct employees are fully executing and complying with scope of work.
Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions and/or General Contractor.
Identify any onsite non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards and resolve.
Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution.
Perform Superintendent duties at multiple job sites, simultaneously.
Layout and batter boards for crews.
Understand blueprints, sketches or building plans to determine dimensions and materials required for form, or framing, construction
Tie Rebar and Concrete Formwork
Build and set forms out of wood and steel
Able to work at minimum heights
Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment
OSHA and other safety certifications
Maintain and promote safe working conditions in the field at all times
Must have all Personal Protective Equipment (Hardhat, steel-toe boots, reflective vest, goggles, gloves, ear plugs)
Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings or other structures, foundations and framing
Knowledge of arithmetic, basic geometry, and their applications to carpentry
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective installations of concrete formwork, shoring, anchor bolts, embedded items, water stops and keyways
Knowledge of machines and tools, including uses, repair, and maintenance associated with carpentry and woodworking
Knowledge of building layout and leveling, grades and benchmarks
Knowledge of Concrete forms and forming methods for cast-in-place concrete
Knowledge of building codes
Must pass Federal Background Check and Drug Screen
Must have reliable transportation
Ability to lift 75 pounds
Required education: High school or equivalent
Concrete & Formwork: 10 years
Construction Superintendent: 5 years
Construction Job Site Safety: 10 years
Preferred license or certification: OSHA 30 hr. certification
Concrete Formwork: 10 years
Form Carpentry: 10 years
Construction Job Site Safety: 10 years
Rebar (Rodbuster): 1 years
Superintendent: 5 years
