WCP is looking for a qualified Superintendent with experience in drywall, framing, finishing, or ceilings to add to our team! Objectives of this Role:
- Maintain a culture of safety, team, and quality
- Supervise a trade crew on a consistent basis
- Direct over 30 employees and supervise multiple trades
- Participate in the pre-planning process in preparation for goals meetings
- Ensure the job is properly staffed
- Verify entry of daily time and production into company’s ERP
- Create job specific QA tasks identified during job start process
- Monitor and provide feedback on daily reports, look-ahead schedules, and project schedules
- Review and scrub show drawings
- Perform routine QA/QC inspections and safety audits
- Pull planning participation on projects
- Work with Director of Operations to forecast manpower and hours to complete a project
- Generate material orders by specific areas
- Manage job cost through review and analyzation of job cost monitoring report
- Monthly POC walks with Superintendent or Project Manager
- Work directly with warehouse, vendors, and Purchasing Manager to ensure that materials, tools, equipment, subcontractor, and general contractor are scheduled daily and are on site in a timely manner
- Attend and participate in all required company training programs and company events
- Attend all job site and office meetings when scheduled and manage attendance of foremen as required
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in a supervisory role
- 15+ years of experience in the trade (drywall, finishing, taping, ACT, etc)
- Completed OSHA 30 training
- Lean certified preferred
- Proficient in reading detailed plans and specifications plus the ability to comply with building codes
- Knowledge and ability to supervise the use of all tools, material, equipment, safety, and personnel
- Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
- Talented at working with all levels of company staff
- Advanced knowledge of Bluebeam or similar program preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
- Capable of working extended hours if necessary
- Bilingual a plus (English, Spanish)
- Must be willing to relocate to the Phoenix area
