Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in land surveying, a PS license and 15 or more years of experience in land surveying projects within the gas and energy markets. Candidates will need the FAA Part 107 UAV pilot license or ability to acquire within 60 days.
Experience with Trimble and Leica GPS and Robotics survey equipment is necessary as is knowledge of Trimble Business Center for GPS, Pix4D software and total station adjustments.
Candidates will also need a working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D for survey processing and generating drawings.
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with clients and employees are critical. Some travel is required. Typical responsibilities include:
- Interact with clients on a regular basis and promote sales-Review scope, budget and schedule for project tasks-Assist with proposals, marketing, project reports and technical presentations-Direct or conduct various types of surveying including boundary, topographic, ALTA/ACSM, subdivisions, construction stakeouts, etc. -Perform various survey calculations -Interpret and verify the accuracy of survey data including measurements and calculations -Prepare or supervise preparation of all survey data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys-Search legal records, survey records, and land titles to obtain property information -Write descriptions of surveys for use in deeds, leases, or other legal documents-Execute flight planning and acquiring necessary permits for UAV program-Sign and seal survey drawings -Prepare cost estimates-Monitor task budget and progress-Prepare project status and other reports-Conduct project cost reviews-Conduct on-site inspections as needed-Attend and/or conduct client and project meetings-Attend various meetings including pre-design, pre-construction, professional organization, staff, etc. -Attend seminars and/or training classes-Maintain a safe working environment
