Teach Comm 317 “Strategic Writing for PR.” There is a possibility this position would also teach Comm 313 “Comm and Public Relations.”
Seeking adjunct professor(s) to teach courses in support of the public relations minor at the University of Arizona. Ideal candidate(s) should have extensive professional experience working with the media and writing press materials for print, digital and broadcast media.

Duties & Responsibilities
To teach course or courses in public relations, particularly Comm 317, Strategic Writing for Public Relations. Responsibilities include holding regular class sessions, grading students in accord with department policies, and holding regularly scheduled office hours. Being responsive to students and communicating clearly and promptly with them is also required. Instructors can manage their classes as they see fit, but must ensure compliance with all relevant university policies concerning instruction.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Minimum Qualifications
M.A. in communication, public relations or a related field.
A minimum of seven years of experience working in public relations or related field.
This position will require a working knowledge of AP Style
Candidates must demonstrate a combination of industry experience and professional membership organization experience (PRSA, IABC, IPRA or other).
University teaching experience is preferred
Professional accreditation or certification preferred (APR, CMP or other).
