Partners in Trucking, Inc is looking for a hard working dependable, experienced diesel mechanic to add to our team. As a teammate you will be maintaining and repairing over the road tractor and occasionally trailers.
Job Title: CDL Preferred Diesel Mechanic
Responsibilities
- Identify and solve mechanical problems using visual and computer diagnostic equipment.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on tractor trailer and yard trucks including oil changes, tune-ups, belts and hose repair, tires and brakes, transmissions, etc.
- The ability to accurately troubleshoot and repair: tires, suspensions, frames, differentials, drive lines, transmissions, clutches, engines, accessory electrical and pneumatic systems, HVAC systems, pneumatic and hydraulic brakes and lighting systems of tractors and trailers.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening
- Must have clean MVR
- Must have 6 years verifiable relevant experience
- Must have Class-B CDL (or A)
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Applicable mechanic’s license and/or certifications including certified Brakes
- Must have certification from a diesel mechanic trade school or a minimum of 3 years of related experience as a diesel mechanic working on Class 8 tractors/trailers
- Strong diagnostic skills
- Knowledge of hydraulics
Salary and Benefits:
Base Pay: $35-40 based on experience
Annual PPE Allowance
Quarterly Safety Bonus
$3000 Sign on Bonus; Paid out in increments over 6 months.
Full-time/ Hourly

Schedule: 11 AM to 8 PM and rotating on-call (every other week at night for a few hours and every 4th weekend).
