LEADERSHIP: Must be able to effectively manage prioritization and scheduling of staff responsibilities/assignments and deliverables. Develop and maintain teamwork. Assign staff and sub-contractor resources to effectively and efficiently complete task and project assignments in a timely manner. Ability to analyze, summarize, and present data in a clear understandable fashion. Oversee, review, and approve products and deliverables, including reports, white papers, spreadsheets, briefings, and work control documents. Ensure quality and timeliness of development and delivery of work products. Plan and manage budgets, including project and sub-contractor costs, and schedules. Support preparation of annual budgets and operating plans and long-range planning. Assume responsibility for career development of staff. Ensure that employee morale and motivation is high to enhance productivity and maintain company’s position as an employer of choice. TECHNICAL ANALYSIS: Manage technical data collection and analysis necessary to ensure safe and effective cavern storage of crude oil. Coordinate, review and analyze cavern and well data, including mechanical integrity testing; cavern pressure and volume monitoring; fluid transfers; wireline log data; and sonar surveys. Develop, maintain, monitor, review, produce, and update standard reporting tools. Investigate new, innovative, and cost-effective technologies to improve SPR cavern and well construction, monitoring, maintenance, remediation, and closure. Work directly with the storage site engineers and site operations to ensure acquisition of data to support analysis and effective field operations. PLANNING: Work with managers and senior staff to develop technical, cost, schedule, and regulatory bases for well workovers, wireline logging operations, and analyses of cavern inventories. Develop annual and long-range budgets and schedules for cavern integrity operations. Integrate analytical and field operations to deliver solutions to near-term and long-term technical issues.

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Geosciences, or related subject. Ten years experience in managing engineering or technical and quantitative analysis teams. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in use of Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint. Desired: Professional Engineer license in Louisiana or Texas. Advanced technical degree or MBA.
