Electronic Technician

Brief Description of Duties

Responsible for the build, assembly, test and troubleshooting of custom electronics.
Candidate should be comfortable soldering and using basic electrical tools.
Some training can be provided assuming candidate comes in with familiarity of systems and is driven to learn.
As most of what the company produces is custom solutions, it is paramount that candidate be innovative and adaptable, relying on his/her knowledge and creativity to problem solve issues and work with engineering on solution implementation.
ZIN’s Electronics technicians handle everything from precision wiring, to custom PC assembly, production inspection, testing, and certification for Zin’s various custom hardware builds predominantly in the aerospace field.
Candidate should be organized and able to work under limited supervision in a highly technical environment.

Experience/Education/Position Requirements

High school degree or equivalent with at least 3 years’ experience in electronics. Certification from a technical school preferred.
Experience and the ability to read schematics and technical drawings a must.
Must be able to pass the IPC J-STD-001 Certification for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies
Ability to solder both surface mount and through-hole components
Familiarity with NASA workmanship standards STD8739, J-STD-001, or IPC-A-610E preferred
