Role Overview

We're seeking a smart, Database Developer who will play a pivotal role in the ongoing development of iVantage’s data process solutions. You will be tasked with carrying out database and ETL activities to support iVantage’s Market Intelligence product and platform. You will transform business requirements into optimal system implementations, as well as work on large data warehousing initiatives. If this sounds exciting, then, apply today.

Responsibilities

Server and component services such as SQL Development and SSIS
Implement data solutions using Python and SQL
Handle common database procedures such as upgrades, backups, recovery, and migration
Identify inefficiencies in current databases, investigate solutions, and diagnose and resolve database access and performance issues
Plan and coordinate data migrations between systems
Profile server resource usage, and optimize and tweak as necessary
Liaise with developers to improve applications and establish best practices
Ensure all database programs meet company and performance requirements

Qualifications & Desired Skills

BS in Computer Science or other related discipline
Strong knowledge of Python and awareness of best practices and patters for Python as it relates to readability, maintainability, and performance
Proficient with SQL, and SQL Server
3+ years of experience automating ETL development using SSIS packages
3+ years of experience developing, maintaining and optimizing complex TSQL queries and views across multiple databases and environments
A solid understanding of core database principles and design practices
A familiarity with Git, Visual Studio, Bit Bucket, Jira, and Source Control are a plus
Familiarity with healthcare data is a plus
Experience with cloud technologies is a plus
Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a closely-knit team setting
