We’re currently searching for a General Manager to lead the successful operation of our brand new AC Hotel in Sunnyvale, CA.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Brand Execution
o Ensure that AC Hotel brand is executed effectively and that the brand is reflected in all aspects of hotel operations.
o Lead a service environment & overall vibe that promote guest satisfaction and loyalty in a manner that is consistent with the vision of the brand.
o Ensure that the hotel is always in a state of “audit-readiness” and that it meets the requirements of all required brand audits.
o Ensure that the entire hotel team is well-trained and prepared to deliver an authentic /tailored experience to the guest that is consistent with the vision of the brand
  • Operations Excellence
o Prepare an annual budget and business plan in collaboration with appropriate department leaders to drive the overall health of the hotel.
o Lead the hotel sales culture through hands-on involvement in the sales process. This includes working with key stakeholders to develop effective revenue management strategies and setting aggressive goals that will drive the financial performance of the hotel.
o Regularly analyze business results alongside the hotel leadership team to develop effective strategies to address opportunities to improve. Make key decisions and oversee execution, removing obstacles to success and ensuring appropriate resources are available to achieve business results.
  • Team & Culture Leadership
o Lead all efforts (in a hands-on manner) to hire, develop, and retain a high-performing team of hospitality professionals that are clear ambassadors of the AC brand.
o Ensure that the Evolution Hospitality Mission, Values, and Guiding Principles are harmoniously demonstrated alongside the core values of the AC brand.
o Play a visible leadership role in the execution of all key people processes that are intended to help us promote full potential across the organization. These processes include, but aren’t limited to: Performance Management, Development Planning, Team Environment Surveys, etc.
o Promote the demonstration of key the brand mantras such as (but not limited to): “If we have time to make it, we have time to make it beautiful.”
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience as a GM in a premium select service environment required
  • Proven track record in delivering financial results
  • Aptitude in financial management, financial reports and analysis
  • Proven track record of building a cohesive team and facilitating goal accomplishment
  • Ability to inspire associates and to create a culture of care and accountability
  • Strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing skills
  • Excellent leadership skills with a hands-on, lead-by-example work style
