Overview
We are seeking a Retail Sales Associate to join our team at a busy grocery store. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales, excellent communication skills, and a customer-centric approach.
Duties
- Operate cash registers and handle sales transactions
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers with inquiries and purchases
- Utilize phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries
- Use Point of Sale (POS) systems efficiently
- Upsell products to increase sales revenue
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales is preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with customers effectively
- Familiarity with basic math for handling transactions accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Knowledge of grocery store operations is a plus
- Sales-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving targets
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.12 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
