Vroom is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to provide design, development, engineering, and implementation of information security solutions. The preferred candidate will have a balance of technical and interpersonal communications skills. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in implementing IAM and/or architecting with ERP solutions. The successful candidate will ensure that all existing and proposed designs conform to company, industry and regulatory standards. Should be comfortable working individually or as part of a team, contributing to the achievement of team goals by carrying out routine tasks or support work.
Design and implement appropriate security architectures, information system controls, and security subsystems.
Identify and evaluate complex business and technology risks, missed internal controls, and related opportunities for improvement.
Serve as an expert in one or more areas of platform, application, storage, network, identity and access management, virtualization, cloud, or mobile security best practice.
Develops automation for access, account provisioning, account deprovisioning, authentication, and access certification functionality.
Ensure the appropriate levels of documentation (e.g., configuration diagrams, recovery procedures, back-out plans, system affinity diagrams, etc.) are created related to the security architecture and are utilized by operational personnel.
Work closely with application developers to understand new initiatives and their security requirements.
5+ years direct experience in cybersecurity.
3+ years’ work experience with AD/LDAP/SSO/SAML/OAuth/OpenID.
Technical knowledge in security engineering, authentication, federation protocols, cryptography, and application security implementation (i.e., IDS/IPS, EDR, DLP, WAF, IAM, AES, DAST etc.…)
Experience with authentication and authorization solutions including two-factor authentication and SSO.
Solid understanding of cloud architecture preferably AWS.
Previous experience working with a security operations center (SOC) a plus.
Knowledge of ERP implementation is a plus.
Relevant Information Security certifications (any of CISSP, GIAC, CCNAS, CCIE, SSCP, CEH, CISM, Security+).
