We are seeking a Social Media Marketing superstar to help drive brand growth and further develop our social media presence. The Social Media Marketing Specialist will report to the Digital Marketing Manager and will be responsible for executing the brand's member-facing communication strategy across social media channels, current and forthcoming.
Our Social Media Marketing Specialist will:
Have a proven track record in successfully managing and monitoring a brand’s social media channels, with experience in developing KPIs and reports to monitor campaigns and efforts to inform next steps.
Thrive working independently with little supervision, but also love being a part of a team and have a team-first attitude. You’ll work closely with all team members in the Marketing department.
Ensure team member service excellence when working cross-departmentally.

Develop a thorough understanding of GECU products and services, the credit union/banking industry, as well as specific marketing and applicable federal and state compliance regulations.

Demonstrate excellent project management, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Be able to balance several, simultaneous projects with an eye on meeting deadlines and updating the team throughout the process.
Accelerate growth of the GECU social and digital footprint with each of our social platforms; understand the goals of the Credit Union and develop into social media goals and objectives.
Further develop the social media strategy, including editorial calendars, through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification.
Generate, edit, publish, and share daily content (original text, images, video, etc.) that is engaging and builds meaningful connections; develop social media campaigns around Credit Union promotions, initiatives, product launches, and events.
Participate in the imagery development, designing effectively for each platform.
Work with GECU Cares to support community involvement initiatives, and other applicable teams, team members, and departments as needed.
Manage and monitor daily engagement through social platforms with visitors (comments, reviews, questions etc.) and conduct and manage social “listening” and engage when applicable.
Develop, launch, manage, optimize, and report on paid Social Media ad campaigns. Create strategies for these campaigns to support Credit Union and department goals and initiatives.
Support the development of an internal Brand Ambassador program to generate excitement throughout the Credit Union and get GECU team members involved.
Develop and maintain social media procedures and associated documentation needed for audit and compliance purposes. Maintain image and creative content archives.
Keep GECU on the forefront on emerging trends in social and digital marketing both from a strategic content perspective as well as changes in platforms, technology, usage, and more.
Capture, report, and make recommendations on relevant analytics for each platform/campaign.

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field with 3-5 years’ experience in social media marketing.
Proficiency in social media platforms (including reporting), Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office 365; strong working knowledge of Google Analytics a plus.
The ideal candidate is knowledgeable of graphic fundamentals and typography and can quickly and easily apply across multiple social media platforms; videography skills a bonus.
Must be an analytical thinker with the ability to monitor efforts and report on KPIs, then translate results into next steps.
