We are currently seeking a motivated Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) interested in working with a small company and looking to thrive with us.
Job Summary:
The Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant is responsible for pediatric treatment in the area of Speech Therapy. The employee will provide their services in a generally accepted manner while adhering to the code of ethics of the profession, and in accordance with any and all applicable state laws.
Reports to: Supervising SLP and Clinical Director
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct treatment for pediatric members.
- Continuously evaluate client needs and share these findings with the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Plan and problem solve with the supervising SLP in order to help each member reach his or her potential.
- Communicate and collaborate with other professionals, paraprofessionals, and parents in order to provide an effective treatment program.
- Document all treatment sessions on a daily basis, as well as provide appropriate documentation to supervising SLP.
- Maintain client files and treatment logs in an organized manner to include as well as provide appropriate documentation to the supervising SLP.
- Communicate with Supervising SLP and/or Directors regarding any changes in status, problems, or intent to change any aspect of services already in place.
- Attend and participate in meetings as required by the supervising SLP (e.g., Clinical staff meetings, team meetings).
- Keep current on the latest developments in the field of speech therapy by attending professional seminars, reading current literature, and participating in professional organizations.
- Keep a careful record of billable hours which will require a parent signature and submit timesheets on time.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Adhere to all company policies and codes of conduct.
- Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, modified, or changed at any time at Shine Bright's discretion.
Minimum qualifications:
Education/Training
Associates degree or Bachelor’s degree ;and California State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
Additional Requirements
Valid CA license and/or certification
Pediatric & Early Intervention experience preferred but not required
Spanish Speaking Preferred
Livescan Fingerprinting (FBI/DOJ) Clearance
Negative TB Test Results
Valid California Driver's License
