Level III Trauma Center - focus in geriatric trauma
24 beds and 3 Fast Track beds
Comprehensive Stroke Center
High Oncology Population (adjacent to Sarah Cannon Oncology Center)

What job functions will you perform?

Contributes information to a licensed nurse to the assessment of the health status of Emergency Department patients
Participates with the licensed nurse in the development and modification of the patient's plan of care
Assists the licensed nurse in implementation of plan of care and documents in chart patient response to intervention
Maintains a well-stocked unit
Maintains competence with Meditech system
Communicates effectively with internal and external customers


High School Graduate or GED equivalent (required)
Successful completion of Paramedic training course (required)

Virginia Division of EMS EMT-Paramedic certification (required)
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers (required)
American Heart Association Advanced Life Support (ACLS) for Health Care Providers (required)
PALS certification; PHTLS or BTLS certification (preferred)

Previous ER or comparable experience (required)
3 years field experience as a certified EMT-Paramedic (preferred)

Full Time
12hr Evening Shifts (1p-1a & 3p-3a)
