Responsible for receiving and directing visitors, employment applicants, salespersons and customers to appropriate locations and parties. Maintains a visitors log and issues badges when necessary. Ensures all visitors have signed confidentiality agreements around patient and client information. Notifies personnel of visitor arrival and ensures that nobody enters the building without proper access or escort. Issues parking passes and keeps logs in Excel. Responsible for ensuring front doors are locked at night and end of day checklists are complete. Operates a single or multiple position telephone switchboard and directs calls to appropriate staff. Trains back-ups as needed. May assist with other functions not related to the receptionist position when time allows.
