The Department of Biobehavioral Nursing and Health Systems has an outstanding opportunity for a part time 50%FTE, Program Operations Specialist. This position provides a wide range of project coordination, management and support for an interprofessional training grant housed within the UW Center for Health Sciences Interprofessional Education, Research and Practice that is appointed with the UW School of Nursing's Department of Biobehavioral Nursing and Health Informatics. The grant is a 3-year training program from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to improve the RN workforce and increase team-based care within ambulatory care for WA State. The Center develops and promotes interprofessional education (IPE) initiatives focused on team science and clinical practice. Core responsibilities of the grant project manager will be to oversee and lead program coordination, organization, event logistics, foster partnerships, and perform outreach.
The grant and programs associated are interdisciplinary, and team members collaborate with differing funding sources, aims, and institutions. The position requires someone who is responsive to changing demands and can effectively work with multiple stakeholders from academic leaders, clinical teams, health science students, and patients.
This position, along with others, will help advance the field of interprofessional education, practice and research. The UW is a leader in this area and the work we do will influence others in the health professions.
Direct and facilitate communication between members of the program teams, including external partner sites (e.g., PI, project staff, clinic staff, partner sites, workgroups, subcontractors, granting agencies, technology support)
Develop procedures and methods to accomplish the aims of the project and ensure that project milestones are met
Design, develop and facilitate training events, workshops and online modules.
Plan program marketing, including creation/update of materials, as well as identification of new opportunities.
Establish effective tools and strategies to monitor timelines and prevent delays.
Assist Program Manager and PI on development of presentations and sessions.
Inform Program Manager and PI on statuses, issues, and actions needed.
Maintain files, inventory and program supplies.
Establish and maintain record management system (e.g., Dropbox)
Record and distribute meeting minutes and action items.
Manage data collection, entry, and reporting.
Assist with preparing grant performance reports.
Contribute to website and quarterly newsletter.
Lead planning for local and regional meetings and training events including scheduling meeting space, coordinate agendas, make arrangements with speakers, set up rooms, confirm attendance, and prepare materials (e.g., format, proofread, print, copy).
Lead: will lead people working on event and training logistics

Bachelors degree in health sciences, public health, health admin or related field AND 2-3 years of related experience.
Experience organizing and facilitating meetings and training events
Experience with project support (coordination, management), preferably in an academic environment or healthcare institution
Experience executing or contributing to project plans
Experience using Excel to create databases and spreadsheets
Experience with learning systems such as Catalyst, Canvas, and/or LearnDash
Experience with UW administrative systems
Excellent oral, written and electronic communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
Experience working on teams
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except where there are legal requirements such as license/certification/registration.
Master's Degree in health sciences, public health, health administration or related field.
Experience with survey administration (e.g., REDCap)
Experience with e-learning software such as storyline/Articulate 360
Expertise in instructional design, curriculum and instruction, adult learning theory, Liberating Structures, and/or team training.
This position may require occasional travel to training events and/or conferences in and out of state. Position will report to the Manager of Program Operations.
