Basic Function
Hanson Lab Solutions is hiring a Regional Sales Manager in the San Diego territory, where you will be expected to maintain, develop and grow client relations in a $10 million geographical market. You will work with the Director of Sales and estimating to determine bid/no bid decisions, while providing costs budgets on projects when needed, open and review bid drawings and specifications prior to requesting a quote and be familiar with the scope of the project to relay basic project information to estimating.
Primary Responsibilities
- Enhance the market position of Hanson Lab Solutions, leading to increased sales, financial growth and territory growth.
- Able to download specifications and drawings to determine Hanson scope of work.
- Cultivate strong working relationships with key customers, architects, contractors, and lab planners.
- Identify, represent and engage lab planners, architects and GC’s, company reserves right to revise, staring and representation in nonexclusive sale area.
- Identify and track with bid tracking software any related upcoming projects that fit within the Hanson product line and stay abreast of those projects.
- Create and maintain sales and marketing activity reports for submission to senior management.
- Develop, maintain, and expand the customer database.
- Capture all leads and enter them into the NetSuite CRM system.
- Attend pre-bid meeting with estimating, project management and engineers kick off meetings.
- Attend weekly sales and estimating meetings, on-line, to review estimating queue and discuss upcoming projects or concerns.
- Manage and update sales and promotional materials in conjunction with Hanson marketing department.
- Develop and deliver impactful presentations and proposals for architects, general contractors, and any potential customers.
- Conduct in person or online product training sessions with architects, general contractors, end users and dealers as required.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and prepare regular sales reports.
- Monitor competitors, market conditions, and product developments to inform strategic decisions.
- Assist with project management after handoff with any tasks or clarifications as needed.
- Negotiate and successfully close sales deals.
- Stay abreast of current market conditions, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Write detailed proposals and specifications if required to assist architects, general contractors, or dealers.
- Attend quarterly team meetings to help foster a collaborative sales team that is in line with HLS core values.
- Coordinate with estimators and sales managers for project margins. Sales Manager decision is final.
- As sales responsibilities tend to be remote locations from HLS physical facilities, to certain HLS national company quarterly meetings when attendance is expected.
Requirements
- Proficient in Office 365 application such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- CRM software experience is preferred
- Construction sales experience highly desired.
- Medical equipment, Healthcare, or furniture sales a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of accuracy in preparing and entering information.
- Strong leadership capabilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Exceptional sales abilities.
- Strong writing and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated follow-through on tasks and commitments.
- Minimum of 4 years of successful sales experience.
- Pleasant and cooperative attitude with co-workers.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
