About Transmission and Distribution
Southern California Edison’s (SCE's) Transmission and Distribution Organization (T&D) is responsible for planning, engineering, constructing, operating, and maintaining transmission and distribution facilities throughout the 50,000-square-mile territory. T&D is the steward of roughly $19 billion in assets that safely and reliably deliver electricity to 14 million residents via SCE’s 5 million customer accounts.

Position Overview
The Data Analytics & QA Lead will be in the Substation Construction & Maintenance (SC&M) division within Southern California Edison’s (SCE) Transmission and Distribution Organizational Unit (T & D). The successful candidate will conduct research and analysis of highly complex data governance methodologies from multiple sources which are both internal and external, and document and implement their uses supporting substation equipment asset information and data governance programs. Conduct research and gather information to identify integration points and interfaces between the company and departmental needs for the purpose of equipment asset information and data governance program management. With the development of all data analysis and frameworks, will also be required to be accountable for ensuring accuracy and integrity for all findings; and support SC&M’s strategic and regulatory initiatives. This position will also be a subject matter expert on data governance/QA methodologies and practices.
Develop tools and processes to accurately assemble data frameworks implementing Data Analytics around Substation equipment/asset records supporting condition-based maintenance, risk-based decision models, and in forward-thinking efforts; Develop plans, timelines and generate accurate reports on condition based maintenance programs and systems; Analyze complex business issues, develop project plans, and timelines for the development of solutions or process improvements to leverage best practices; and implements recommendations in support of key initiatives; This candidate will also be expected to maintain a safety conscious work environment by following Edison safety protocols and safe work practices; and performing other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Typical responsibilities will include:
Demonstrated experience working with relational databases, creating customized queries, detailed analysis and generating customized reports.
Experience in computer programming utilizing scripting language
Demonstrated experience in working effectively with diverse team of project/program managers and analysts to resolve identified process / systematic issues and develop/recommend preventive measures/solutions.
Demonstrated ability to accurately analyze information, integrate people processes, systems, and technologies.
Demonstrated experience generating complex reports.
Demonstrated experience working with voluminous data, complex processes and systems.
Demonstrated experience analyzing technical business requirements.
Demonstrated experience ensuring reports and projects are completed accurately and on schedule.
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to present ideas both electronically and in person, explain complex concepts successfully, and motivate stakeholders effectively.
Must demonstrate the ability to integrate work across relevant areas, develop the business and services to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, manage risks appropriately, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and accountability for results.
Must demonstrate effective resource and project planning, decision making, results delivery, team building, and the ability to stay current with relevant technology and innovation.

Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Visio.
Demonstrated ability to follow Edison safety protocols and safe work practices
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, STEM or related field
Eight or more years of experience in the field of data analytics
Experience using MS Excel and MS Access
Three (3) years or more experience in data quality

Desired qualifications
Experience with Visual Basic programming/scripting
SAP Plant Maintenance
SAS Analytics and Programming.
