Covenant Management Systems (Covenant) is a medical group management organization (MSO) founded in 1999. Covenant provides the full spectrum of strategic and operational capabilities for Austin Regional Clinic. Austin Regional Clinic is Austin’s largest and most successful multi-specialty clinic with over 325 doctors and advanced practice clinicians who provide care in 25 clinic locations throughout the three counties surrounding the city. The clinic serves approximately 470,000 unique patients annually. In addition, Covenant provides and/or oversees a broad array of medical management services, third party administration, real estate, telemedicine, pharmaceutical research and contracting services for ARC and other Central Texas medically related entities. The Chief Administrative Officer role is critical to the future success of both ARC and Covenant. This position offers ample challenge and growth opportunities for an individual who is prepared to make a contribution to the leadership of both a dynamic medical group and a diversified MSO in a progressive and rapidly growing community. This position reports directly to the CEO of Covenant. The CAO is responsible for managing all divisions of Covenant and will provide oversight of clinical support and business operations in achieving CMS, ARC and MediView financial, operational and customer satisfaction goals. This position must build and execute plans to grow revenue and facilitate further transformational change of these interrelated organizations. Responsibilities include managing clinic and TPA operations as well as all key support functions including IT, HR, Finance and Accounting, CBO, real estate program, health plan contracting, etc.

Education and Experience

BA or BS with a preference for a MBA, MPH, MD or MHA. Ten or more years of leadership experience in a large multi-specialty physician health care environment (preferably with medical groups with 150+ physicians or greater). Has successfully managed complex financial operations and has strong financial acumen and owned a P&L. Experience with value based payment systems and Medicare risk based ventures. Experience with multispecialty medical group compensation plans. Experience scaling an organization experiencing rapid growth. Experience in creating and managing partnerships and/or joint ventures with other health care entities. Has overseen key functions including: IT, HR, Clinical Operations, Facilities, Real Estate, etc. Experience in sourcing capital for development of new services, joint ventures and/or other profitable health care related entities.
