Air Tutors offers one-to-one and small group virtual programs to students across the country. Utilizing our dynamic and learner-friendly platform, tutors provide engaging and supportive learning opportunities to students.
Position Description
As a tutor for Air Tutors, you are an educator who is passionate about helping students reach their full potential. In this role, you will work with students during school hours, after school, or on weekends in various school districts across the country.
Tutors have the option to provide tutoring in the following areas:
- Math for Grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12
- ELA for Grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12
Duties Responsibilities
- Foster a student-focused, student-driven tutoring environment.
- Cultivate and maintain an engaging learning environment for your students.
- Prepare for tutoring sessions and ensure that materials are appropriate for each lesson.
- Prepare for tutoring sessions and ensure that materials are aligned with the specific needs of your students for each lesson.
- Present subject materials effectively during tutoring sessions.
- Master the use of Air Tutors' specific tools and technology.
- Communicate celebrations, concerns, or questions to Tutor Coordinators.
- Attend orientation sessions.
- Respond promptly to communications from Air Tutors.
- Ensure coverage and proper preparation for tutoring sessions in case of absence.
- Document student participation and attendance during each tutoring session.
- Conduct outreach to students and their families to help ensure attendance to tutoring sessions.
- Commit to working with the students and groups you are assigned for the entire academic year.
Qualifications
- Bilingual/Fluent required (Vietnamese)
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or PhD/EdD preferred.
- A minimum of three years of teaching or tutoring experience is required.
- Experience in facilitating learning within a virtual setting is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with virtual learning technology and internet-based applications.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations.
- Energetic and engaging teaching style.
- Undergraduate and graduate transcripts.
Requirements
- Availability during school hours of 8:00am - 4:00pm (EST, CST, PST, and HST)
- Access to a touchscreen or writing tablet (e.g., iPad, Surface, touchscreen computer).
- Access to a computer with a webcam.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection.
- Must be a resident of the United States for the entire duration of the contract with Air Tutors.
- Must possess a United States-based cell number. United States territory and app-generated (Google, WhatsApp, etc.) phone numbers are not supported.
- Fingerprint clearance (reimbursable).
Compensation

- Salary: $45.00 per hour
