Seeking a passionate, knowledgeable guide to lead tours related to Georgia O’Keeffe, Ghost Ranch, and the socio-cultural history of northern New Mexico, along with other topics that may arise. The ideal candidate should have strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills along with an interest in Georgia O’Keeffe. Teaching or interpretation/guiding experience is a plus. The guide will be expected to retain a large volume of information and then relay that to an audience in an engaging way. Will ideally have strong reading and written communication skills. In addition to a willingness to learn, the candidate must feel comfortable presenting to and engaging with large groups of people from a variety of backgrounds.
The ideal candidate should be a quick learner, demonstrate a high attention to detail, and have strong organizational skills. They will be required to navigate computer booking systems and coordinate logistics with prospective guests, including large groups. This position requires someone capable of leading driving as well as walking tours. Must have the physical stamina and ability to lead hiking tours ranging from 1.5 to 3.5 miles in length on rugged terrain.

Read and retain information about Georgia O’Keeffe, twentieth century modern art, local Abiquiú and Ghost Ranch history, geology, and other topics that arise.

Lead the tours offered at Ghost Ranch including but not limited to: the Georgia O'Keeffe Landscape Tour, Walk & Light Walk in O'Keeffe's Footsteps Tours, the Ghost Ranch History Tour, Sketch The Morning, and the quarry walk for the Paleontology Tour (more detailed descriptions available on the Ghost Ranch website).

A CDL is not required, but the guide will be expected to drive a 14-passenger tour bus or 10-passenger van while narrating the tour.

Communicate with guests about upcoming visits via email and over the phone in a professional manner. Must be able to coordinate logistics with tour groups of varying sizes, including 50+. This includes booking tours via online booking system, troubleshooting individualized needs, etc. Strong organizational and logistical skills required.

Help maintain the tour bus and van; this includes cleaning windows, sweeping and mopping, as well as vacuuming seats.
