Amazon shipping is seeking a strategic and results driven leader to join as a Principal - Program Manager to lead a critical Program charter/Volume enabler for our org. We are looking for a talented individual who is able to work in an ambiguous environment, manage multiple stakeholders; and lead initiatives to grow WW SWA and the Program charter. You will have a detailed/analytical mindset as well as think big attitude and will be responsible to liaise with key stakeholders across Amazon Shipping Commercial/Product/Tech/Operations teams and external partner teams. You will be a natural self-starter who is comfortable driving complex cross-functional Programs and will have a strong management and analytical skills, and be an effective communicator.
As a Principal Program Manager, you will own the WW strategy development and execution for growth of the Program Charter. You should have proven experience in strategy, large-scale execution, entrepreneurial innovation, working cross functionally with operations and engineering teams, and people leadership in a matrix environment. This role requires comfort in ambiguous situations and maintaining a high bar in a dynamic, fast-moving environment. Strong business judgment, ability to influence cross-functional and remotely located teams, a customer-centric and creative mindset and strong analytical skills are also essential.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage the program charter by driving strategic initiatives for growth and quality improvement.
- Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders across Amazon Shipping. Commercial/Product/Tech/Operations teams and external partner teams.
- Define launch/implementation strategies for key initiatives, such as unlocking new volume categories and onboarding new shippers to Amazon Shipping
- Launch Amazon Shipping for the Program charter in new geographies by managing the end-to-end process from market assessment/regulatory compliance to local team hiring and infrastructure setup. Define the scaling plan and lead the effort to implement, manage, and measure growth in in newly launched geographies.
- Lead/support development of product and operational requirements in close collaboration with product, engineering, and operations teams. Guide the product development lifecycle through key stages, including ideation (PRFAQ), business requirements (BRD), system and operational design, build and launch phases to ensure new capabilities meet local market need.
- Lead and/or support in key leadership update documents such as MBR/QBR, WW VP goals review.
- Deliver clear and concise updates on status of the Program with detailed commentary on key challenges, risks and mitigations implemented.
