Contract (no end date)
Provide help desk support to personnel including assistance with desktop hardware and software problems; maintains software programs developed in Information Services to support inventory, acquisitions, and general tracking functions.
Takes and records help desk calls in tracking software; installs and maintains PC software and associated harware systems; investigates problems and provides solutions or escalates the problem to the next appropriate level for resolution; troubleshoots PC applications and provides problem resolution services; performs preliminary investigations for quotes on aquisitions.
Maintains and supports Microsoft desktop and customized SharePoint server applications, VoIP MACs, inventory management, desktop imaging, and other ad-hoc software support activities as needed within the department; updates and maintains information in these applications and provides reports as requested; creates and monitors statistical reports and brings any unexplained variations to management attention.
Ability to bend and lift heavy equipment; exp. with and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and Active Directory.
2 years experience as help desk technician with hands-on use and installation of hardware and software.
A+ and Network + Certification preferred.
