Position- Vice President of Engineering

Our member company is seeking a dynamic Vice President of Engineering who will play an integral role as a member of the Executive Management team; you will participate in formulating and administering the corporate strategy.
Lead s and plans all research, development and engineering activities and develops the RD&E work processes and ideologies.
Plastics processing experience in automotive engineering is required.
Leads day to day RD&E activities in the company; plans and formulates an RD&E technology vision and plan.
Outlines objectives and requirements for team skills sets, training, technology and resources in general.
Leads the RD&E team, sets goals and objectives, tracks performance and conducts performance reviews in line with the corporate policies.
Works closely with VP s for Marketing & Sales, identifies, prioritizes and executes new product developments and customer specific projects.
Manages all aspects of RD&E related to IATF 16949 customer requirements and engineering documentation.
Initiates performance analyses to track and review department performance in organizational efficiencies, project planning, software, etc.
Continuous improvement initiatives.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Masters Degree preferred
Plastics processing experience required
Automotive engineering a must, DE (Design Engineer) designation.
Automotive experience a plus. Ford, GM FCA
Working knowledge of all current software tools including AutoCAD, ProE, Solidworks, UniG, Cattia etc.…
FMEA analysis and software
Prototyping, SLA, 3DP
Sound knowledge of ASTM standards applicable to product development and testing
Product development skills
Project management skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Salary: $140-$190K depending on experience
