The Systems Engineer is responsible providing local support for Data Centers properties. Responsibilities include performing System Maintenance including Building Management Systems (BMS), Electrical Power Management Systems (EPMS), and Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) systems. Tasks will include configuration management of system expansions and commissioning support of new equipment and systems. The position will also support other Energy Metrics projects - time permitting and based upon project needs, which may require some travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Integrate new mechanical system to existing BMS system using (BACnet, Modbus, SNMP Protocols)
  • Integrate electrical equipment to existing EM monitoring system
  • Create customer portal dedicated to respective customer
  • Provide support and service with BMS, EPMS and customer portal
  • Create engineering control submittals, revise As-Built documentation as required
  • Track and record job progress and keep lead project personnel informed on progress

Qualifications & Required Skills:

  • BS in Engineering plus 2-5 years work experience
  • AS in Engineering plus 10 years work experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite
  • Knowledge of industrial networking - Modbus and BACnet
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience with engineering design programs such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Visio, etc.
  • Knowledge in DDC control theory and applications pertaining to the HVAC/Control preferred
  • Prior experience in HVAC and/or Building Automation required
  • Knowledge of ALC controllers and WebCTRL is preferred
  • Knowledge of electrical distribution systems and EPMS systems is a plus
  • Knowledge of OSIsoft PI is a plus
  • Must be able to work independently and provide periodic updates to management
  • Must have excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Must be effective at communicating with management, customers, and vendors
  • Must be a motivated, self-starter who will take ownership of tasks
  • Must be able to work in team environments, take ownership of specific work, and understand how it supports the teams as a whole

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $75,000.00 to $100,000.00 /year
