As a member of the Google Cloud Communications team, you will collaborate with other cross-functional teams to communicate with journalists and thought leaders, develop specific communications materials and devise thought leadership campaigns. You'll engage in face-to-face meetings with internal executives and external opinion formers, develop print and web-based materials supporting these campaigns, and counter misinformation that may impact business and our ability to serve our users.
As an Industry Public Relations Specialist on the Google Cloud Communications team, you will work cross-functionally to help communicate our success in various industries including healthcare, financial services, media, energy, retail and more. You will collaborate with executives from across the organization, so an understanding of both cloud computing and the enterprise market are a must. This role supports a wide range of activities including assisting with industry product launches, creating industry specific narratives, leading thought leadership campaigns and identifying proactive pitch opportunities.

Educate business, tech and vertical specific press about Google Cloud’s industry strategy.
Assist Industry Public Relations Lead in driving media coverage for Google Cloud’s efforts in industries including healthcare, financial services, media, energy, retail and more.
Work on stretch projects, including supporting cloud product launches, thought leadership campaigns, corporate initiatives, major events like Next and more.
Lead ongoing executive communications opportunities including media briefings, speaking engagements, and customer and partner activities.
Manage external agency team resources.
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English or equivalent practical experience.
4 years of experience in public relations at an agency or a corporate in-house.
Ability to influence and communicate cross-functionally and externally while multi-tasking and managing competing priorities
Ability to work under time constraints and thrive in a fast-paced, fluid, collaborative and highly creative environment while being able to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong, clear writing style and excellent editing skills.
Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to deliver quality work while managing multiple projects.
Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly identify trending topics and issues with a defined point of view.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
