Overview:
- A Clinical Nurse II (CN II) demonstrates competent patient and family- centered care using the nursing process. The CN II will work with the interdisciplinary team to provide evidence-based patient care, positive patient care experiences and quality outcomes in the professional nursing practice environment.
Qualifications:
- Education and Work Experience:

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and successfully completed the State Board of Nursing Licensure Exam

BSN Preferred
-
Must possess 1 year of current clinical experience
-
Must obtain 20 Contact hours per year, fifty percent of which must be clinically focused. Academic course credits may be used on a 1:1 credit hour exchange.

Certification Requirements:
-
Current Healthcare Provider CPR/BLS upon hire
-
Specialty Certifications:
-
PACU, ICU, Cath Lab, Angiography, Lung Center, McAuley Surgery Center - ACLS within 1 year of hire or 6 months of promotion

ED - ACLS within 6 months of hire/promotion & ENPC or PALS within 1 year
-
Mother/Baby, NICU/PEDS - NRP within 6 months of hire/promotion
-
Labor & Delivery - NRP within 6 months of hire/promotion and EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) within 1 year of hire

Telemetry - ACLS within 1 year of hire, within 18 months of hire if new grad

Chemotherapy Clinic (Outpatient Chemo) - ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) certification within 1 year of hire and OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification within 2 years of hire
